Vintage Art DEco Blue moonstone UNUSUAL stone stickpin

This bahama blue stone is very eerie and unusual and looks like it might be some sort of moonstone?.The pin measures 2 1/2" long and the hed is almost 3/4" long. It has line indentions on the top ( see photos). Not sure if that is a mold mark or the way the stone is. Since this is Irreplaceable there can be no returns on this sale.

Vintage Victorian enamel buckle etched fancy stickpin

This lovely large head golden stickpin has a rounded buckle design that has enameling inside it. The head of this nice old pin is 1" x 3/4" and the measures 2 1/2" long from the end of the pin to the top of the head. The front has tiny round recesses in it but I don't see where stones or decorations would have been put in there. The back of the pin has very little gold left on it.

Antique GOLD COIN GOLD liberty head Stickpin

This liberty head gold coin ( tests at 10kt gold) is mounted on a stickpin and would have been worn on a man's lapel or ascot. This measures 3" long and is quite a beautiful piece. I don't know anything about coins so I hope the photos give you enough information on the type of gold coin this is. IT looks like it has been hand soldered by a jeweler a long while back and they did not buff out the solder well. ( see photo) but it is extremely sturdy and as solid as it can possibly be. Mythical GORHAM DRAGON SIGNED Stickpin

Gorham, known for their work with creatures and animals, has created a wonderful piece that is both mythical and exotic! This dragon has such a fierce face and he is ready to protect his new owner. I have taken a photo of a page in Kaplan's official guide to antique jewelry, where it is priced in gold at $1200.00 and up. THis is 18kt gold leaf over sterling and is marked on the back as such. The dragon is large (1") and the stick pin is 2" in total. IT is a heavy and well made piece that has very little wear to the gold.

During the aesthetic period, jewelry was made using animals as figures and the more bizarre the better.I have taken a photo from Kaplan's Official Antique Jewelry guide where is shows a similar one in gold for $600.00 and up. This dimensional fly is marked GORHAM sterling on the back and is covered with 18kt gold leaf. The fly is almost 1" long and this is heavy and well made.

THis lion is so well protected with the serpent that reaches around him and wraps himself around him. This dates pre-1920 and is one of the most unusual figural stickpins I have seen. vintage Zuni sterling Turquoise BIG stickpin

What an unusual old stick pin this is with the zuni design in the center and the large 1 1/3" long setting. The pin head is not flat, but rounded and the genuine turquoise stones are inset into it like bear claw jewelry. This measures almost 3" long and is in great shape. I did polish the front a little which is why it is so shiny, but the back remains as I got it so show you the age and patina.

Just look at the fire in this antique OPAL!! WOW!!! The colors are fiery and the stone is large ( a little over 1/2” long and 1/4” wide). Set in 14 kt rose gold ( see the mark on the pin), this is an amazing old piece! In great shape this is something you appreciate more knowing it dates no later than the 1900’s!! What gentleman wore this in his lapel or shirt ? Possibly one of high society who was a dashing young suitor? This measures 2 1/2” long ( total) and is in excellent condition. This is an antique ( not a reproduction ) molded cab gold filled stick pin . The stone is chalcedony carved into a scarab. The head of the pin is 1 ¼" x 7/8". RARE Poseidon Mythological Figural stickpin

What a rare treat to see this stickpin with all its mythological background come out of our collection for sale! Poseidon was relied upon by sailors for a safe voyage on the sea. Many men drowned horses in sacrifice of his honor. He lived on the ocean floor in a palace made of coral and gems, and drove a chariot pulled by horses. However, Poseidon was a very moody divinity, and his temperament could sometimes result in violence. When he was in a good mood, Poseidon created new lands in the water and a calm sea. In contrast, when he was in a bad mood, Poseidon would strike the ground with a trident and cause unruly springs and earthquakes, ship wrecks, and drownings.l This pin is 2 1/4” long and the pin itself is either gold or gold filled. 15 pc persian TURQUOISE Victorian Cufflink set

Aren't these just the most gorgeous pieces of Victorian Persian turquoise cufflinks, button stufs, collar studs, stickpin. lapel pin and ring?. I have been collecting persian turquoise pieces for years and this is part of the sets I am finally giving up . There are two sets of cufflinks ( one is hinged and one is barbell), 4 smaller button studs and one matching larger one, 4 collar buttons, one 10kt gold ring and an extra pin I added for good measure. I think most are gold filled with some being rose gold filled.I haven't had them tested ( except the ring) The ring is less than a size one ( baby ring). All the pieces are in real great shape ( less the lapel pin which needs cleaning). The detail on the larger cufflinks is beautiful.I think the stick pin might be real gold and the head is in excellent condition too. You are getting them all.

1840's genuine BLOODSTONE & carnelian scottish sterling Stickpin

Bloodstone is a type of chalcedony (a variety of quartz) of varying shades of green also known as heliotrope and is said to have magical and healing properties. This name comes from the Greek helio (sun) and trepein (turning). Iron minerals cause the characteristic red and brown spots, which are said to resemble blood drops. This is from the early 1800’s and is from Scotland and is quite rare because you can hardly ever find this stone in pieces from that period anymore. The stones are carnelian and bloodstones ( two of carnelian and three including the center stone of the bloodstone). They are set in a very fancy setting that measures ¾" wide.
