Victorian Enamel Fancy gold hinged Bracelet

You see these pictured in antique jewelry books and when you see them in person, they are even more beautiful! This has really intricate etchings filled with black enamel vines. This is enameled on all sides too. The hinge and clasp work fine. This is oval shape so it fits well on most wrists.It measures 5" on the inside band and 1" wide. This is gold filled and has a rose gold filled inside. A little wear on the inside ( tiny dings) but the enameling on the outside is very good condition. Considering it is well over 100 years old, it is in very good condition!

Victorian Layer paste rhinestone hinge bracelet

This is in such beautiful condition and looks as if it is has been really well loved and cared for. The front is even prettier than the photos and it is made in 2 layers with the ornamental part having a single paste bright rhinestone. The inside measures 7” long and is 1” at its widest. The hinge and clasp work perfect and there is no wear to the color. Great old piece that needs a beautiful arm to show it off!!

Mourning cameo locket necklace bracelet & ER

What an amazing group of coral color Victorian pieces! This includes the locket necklace, the bangle bracelet and the pair of dangle drop screw on earrings. The locket is large ( 2 1/3" with bale,see photo next to a dime) and opens so you can put photos inside. The outside has this magnificent woman in repousse carved work. The chain is black celluloid and measures 20" long. The bangle has an enamel and sterling center with a gilt ornate back plate. It is 7/8" wide and measures 7 3/4" on the inside. The earrings are 2 1/2" long with beads that match the locket and bangle and sparkling black faceted beads. The  pieces are truly unusual and they all are really beautiful! These are all made of celluloid or possibly bakelite.

Victorian Gutta percha DROP earrings necklace

This 1800's vulcanite, gutta percha and genuine jet necklace and long drop earrings are something to behold! The vulcanite is  the chain ( see the mottled coloring in the closeup) and the gutta percha and the jet are on the drops. The pendant and earrings would have all been hand cut and carved and each is quite large. Vulcanite is a hard, moldable dark brown or black early plastic sometimes erroneously called "gutta percha". This material was used for memorial pieces in the mid-Victorian period.SInce this piece also has gutta percha (Gutta percha is a resin from the Isonandra Gutta tree. Jewelry was made from gutta percha in the mid-1800's. The Gutta percha company was founded by Dr. Montgomerie in 1845 and was in business until 1930) and jet ( Black fossil coal or wood that can be easily carved into jewelry. Some jet is polished and some has an opaque appearance. Jet became fashionable for mourning jewelry in the nineteenth-century when Queen Victoria went into mourning after the deaths of her husband and mother ) this has quite a unique grouping of some of the materials used only during the victorian period.  Victorian The necklace has a length of 23" ( included the beautifully etched rollo link chain) and the drop  is an additional of 6 1/2". The earrings are both 3" long with a lot of layered detailing using the jet and gutta percha. The pieces are in very good condition with little wear and are even nicer than the photos. Both earrings have the exact same berry shapes on the part that hooks to the ear as well as the center piece. Both have the same huge 3/4" jet ball at the bottom. One wire could stand a little re-bending. Each has a little different shape on the anchor shaped  piece. It is a lovely grouping of sentimental jewelry that is highly collectible and still has a place in this day and age.

Antique 18kt GOLD diamond LONG DECO filigree

This antique ring  has some of the prettiest filigree and open grill work I have seen on a white gold ring from this period. Marked 18KT on the inside ( along with the jewelers initials BE)it is a well made piece that is in great shape. The setting is long ( 1") and has a black onyx center with a diamond on one side and a star in gold on the other. ORnate leafs grip this stone on either side and really make is so very elegant. The ring is a size 4 1/2 and has very little wear. Even prettier than the photos!

Vintage Victorian figural Mariner Acorn Bar pin

This unusual Victorian bar brooch has acorn ends that looks as if they should twist off ( like a nanny brooch where sewing thread and needle would be stored) but I don't think they do. The center piece is of a lighthouse and a sail boat which makes me think this must have been a sweetheart brooch. The Center pieces is rose gold plate and the rest of the brooch is a yellow gold plate that is so rich in color is looks like ormolu. Lots of detail on this and in good condition too. Victorian PINK Czech Blown GLASS Necklace chandelier Earrings Bracelet

These vintage hand blown PINK czech beads are all original and are very rare indeed. I have never seen so many one one necklace, much the additional ones on the wrap bracelet and lovely thick chandelier screw on earrings. If you look close you can see the soft bands in the glass and you can also see each bead is a little different from each other. THe detail in the composition of this amazing necklace is hard to see in the photos, but it is actually like a spiders web with all the drops intricately wired into one main strand. This is something you don't see often so be sure you don't pass it up. The necklace is 20" long on the shortest strand and the longest drop is over 5" long. The hand painted venetian beads have 18kt gold that is painstakingly painted around soft flowers. The brass is in very good condition and has a really rich golden hue. Very little if any wear or damage. The earrings are really something to behold because they are hand wired onto a rich golden brass setting that holds them so they literally drip from it. They measure 1 7/8" long and 1" across. The bracelet has 4 bands of pink czech glass beads that are just gorgeous! This group is a rarity and extremely beautiful and feminine. Angelskin Edwardian Coral tear drop long fancy earrings

Genuine Edwardian Angelskin coral beads standout so well against this beautiful horseshoe design hanger. The length of these beauties is almost 2 1/2" and they hand from shell motif top french hinged wired. The two teardrops on either side are the nicest finishing touch on such elegant and regal earrings. The metal work on the drop is raised relief with hints of enameling that give the columns depth. As you can see on our model, they are quite beautiful and they are in such great condition. These pretty little lovelies a have genuine opal stone in the center of ornate wire settings. WIth Fleur de lis tops they are pierced and are so very feminine!These are marked on the back ( see photo) but I can't make out what they it says. They have not been tested for gold and have not been polished so you can see the original patina on them. I feel they are at least gold filled. These measure 1" long and other then polishing are in excellent condition. I would date them somewhere prior to the 30's. ANtique Victorian Jeweled bangle Bracelet with PEking glass and more

This is one fabulous victorian bracelet that has a centerpiece that really looks spectacular! IT is green mottled peking glass with a topper of carnelian. Surrounding it are gilt asymmetric brass leaves that nestle against it. This is 1" wide and measures 7" on the inside when closed. THis has a side lock and a hinged side which both work well. THe back has beautiful raised relief which continues onto the front under the leaves.

ANtique AustroHungarian genuine jewels necklace with rose gold Renaissance Revival Cross

Genuine rubies, garnets and sapphires and topaz are hand set into this antique Austro Hungarian Late 19th Century necklace. There is a rose gold filled and Georgian seed pearl Cross that hangs from it. The necklace has beautiful filigree links with soldered bezels full of genuine stones.

The center drop is solid gilt brass and it has seed pearls, carnelian and blue sapphires in it. From that hangs this marvelous drop that measures 3" ( includes the cross). You won't find pieces like this anymore and it is more amazing when you see it in person.Each stone is in a collet setting with rough-cut cabochon stones, which were all hand set, using very crude tools, that is why most pieces are compared to the renaissance era. The clasp was replaced as the original which would have had markings on it was gone.

THe necklace measures 16" long around the neck. A rare treasure that would never have been duplicated because all these were hand wrought and by order only.

Due to the fact this can never be replaced it will have to be insured whether it is shipped in the US or globally.

Antique Chrysoprase Edwardian seed pearl necklace with tiered chains

THe necklace chains and the pendant are original to each other and date well before the 1920's. The pendant is really heavy and solid and has the most gorgeous huge chrysoprase stones that I have ever seen. Surrounding the center one are tiny pearls and elaborate metal work. Four surrounding cabs form the four corners of this wonderful old period piece. The three heavy brass chains that form the tiers are all soldered links and they come together to form the necklace. What I also found is that you can wear this much longer by wearing one of the chains behind your neck instead of using the clasp. From the pendant hangs this wonderful antique raised relief silver drop with one jade bead at the bottom. The pendant from top to bottom measures a whopping 5" long. THis is a really heavy and well made necklace. The patina on this brings out the gorgeous apple green of these amazing old stones. The necklace when worn at the clasp is 14" at its shortest. When worn with the chain on the back of the neck it will allow you much more room and make the pendant hand down a lot longer. This is an old old piece that has survived time quite well and I can only imagine the stories it has behind it.

Late 1800s BLACK enamel Victorian mourning locket necklace ANtique marcasites and garnets

A wonderful period piece, this late 1800's all black mourning locket is all original including these tiny marcasites that form the remembrance frame. When Queen Victoria lost her beloved Prince Albert and plunged all of her vast realm into mourning, black jewelry was the only jewelry allowed at court.The twin sets of silver rims and and original silk backgrounds are intact and were meant to hold a portrait or a hairwork souvenir. I think it might be sterling that has not been polished or cleaned on the inside. The locket shuts well and stays shut and has a most unusual clasp. The hinge is original. This is such an elegant design and a lovely way to remember those close to your heart. This hangs from a delicate feminine blackened chain with small garnet colored faceted glass beads. The necklace measures 14" long and the locket measures 1 3/4" long and is quite heavy. Being well over 100 years old this has some wear to the enamel on the back ( tiny scratches that have not gone beneath the enamel so it is still totally black). The front on the very bottom has a thin sliver missing but again, it is still black so unless you are really looking at this with a loop it will remain unnoticable.
This is a wonderful old piece that is probably full of love and karma that goes deep to the heart, so I hope it gets a home where it will be loved for what it is and not its minor flaws.
